Inscribed by Albert Camus on half-title: ‘à Mademoiselle Borggreve | avec mes voeux les plus chaleureux | pour son courageux pays | Albert Camus’.
From the library of a young lady from the Netherlands who lived in Paris in the 1950s. She wrote her name and the date of purchase on the title page: ‘Math. Borggreve | Paris Fevr. ’53’. After reading this play miss Borggreve managed to make an appointment with Albert Camus. This inscribed copy is accompanied by two (of originally several) leaves, being part of an interview Borggreve held with Camus. Apparently Camus answered questions about L’homme révolté, La peste and nihilism. Also with three clippings.
